Once upon a time, there were two doll artists.

One was trapped in a Fashion Designer and the other, locked away in a Cell Biologist. Unaware of the doll-obsessed souls living inside them, the Fashion Designer and the Cell Biologist lived many happy years in their chosen careers before they met their respective Prince Charmings and quite willingly left their jobs to raise their children.

Each without being aware of the other, started painting and dressing dolls as an outlet for their creativity and to give their children toys with personality. Then one day, they met. They found themselves gradually drawn into the world of Blythe, first one, then another, then another. A little collection was born. The two friends began to design clothes for their dolls, drawing on inspiration from trends in textiles and fashion they made storybook costumes, lacy party dresses, cosy pajamas and cute dayware... All scaled-down versions of human-size clothes, with soft linings, vintage lace trims and tiny buttons. Their dolls loved their new finery. And the Doll Dressmakers realized that if they joined forces, they could create beautiful, bespoke clothing and accessories to make other Blythe dolls equally happy.

And so, we created Fabled, our shop for Blythe Couture.
